FC Augsburg of Germany midfielder, Frank Ogochukwu Onyeka has added an interesting angle to the build-up towards next month’s clash between Nigeria and Ghana at the Unity Cup in London, as he believes victory would boost the Super Eagles’ confidence ahead of their remaining matches in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Sports247 reports that the Eagles look shaky in fourth place on the qualification table of Group C and, with South Africa appearing to have the full advantage of playing all their remaining matches on home soil, pundits are tipping Bafana Bafana to pick the ticket.

However, Onyeka, who is on loan from London-based Brentford Town to Augsburg in Germany, believes victory over Ghana’s Black Stars on May 28th would pave the way for the Eagles to equally gun for maximum points in all their remaining fuxtures of the World Cup qualifiers.
Incidentally, the Unity Cup clash with Ghana will take place at GTech Stadium, the home ground of Onyeka’s English Premier League club, and the former FC Mydjtiland of Denmark battler admitted it will be a tough game to prosecute.
“It’s always a big rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana. It’s also good to play in this competition and bring the countries together. Hopefully, we’ll win against Ghana, while also thinking about the World Cup qualifiers resuming in September.
“You should never say we can’t make it, because we still have the chance to qualify. Yes, we need to win our remaining four games, and hopefully we’ll qualify,” enthused Onyeka, who previously played for Faith FC of Benin City and FC Ebedie of Sagamu in Ogun State
