China based, Nigerian female football star, Francisca Ordega has revealed that she had a good time at the 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany.
Ordega has played in three Women’s World Cup edition – 2011(Germany), 2015 (Canada), 2019 (France).
While chatting with NFF media, Ordega said she was basking in the euphoria of playing in her first World Cup at her age.
“I was super happy. Playing at my first World Cup at that age; coming straight from the U-17 to the national team. The squad was super talented with lots of big names but I made the squad and I also assisted the only goal scored at the world cup by Perpetual Nwokocha.”
Speaking on the performance at the 2015 World Cup, the four time African Women Cup of Nations champion said inexperience made the team lose out at the world cup.
“We had a better understanding because most of us came from the U-20 team including myself. We were just unlucky and inexperienced but in all it was a good experience.”
Ordega scored the equaliser in the 3-3 draw with Sweden at 2015 Women’s World Cup.
