Regarded as an exceptionally fast player, Iheanacho will initially begin his FC Midtjylland career with the U19 team. At 18 years old, he has signed a five-year contract, binding him to the Jutland outfit until the summer of 2028.
Iheanacho previously represented the Golden Eaglets in the 2021 WAFU Zone B Tournament, which served as a qualifier for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
Throughout his youth career, he showcased his prowess as a physical and agile striker, consistently finding the back of the net.
Expressing his delight at joining FC Midtjylland, Iheanacho stated, “I’m truly elated, and this is something I have eagerly anticipated for a long time.
The journey to reach this point has been challenging, so standing here now holds significant meaning for me.”
Iheanacho emerged from FC Hearts, an Abuja-based academy renowned for producing notable talents such as former Nigeria U17 captain Musa Muhammed and Ifeanyi Mathew, among others.
He will now join forces with Isa Musa, Jamiu Musbaudeen, and Obule Moses in FC Midtjylland’s U19 team.
With his arrival at FC Midtjylland, Iheanacho embarks on a new chapter in his football career, aiming to make a lasting impact and contribute to the club’s continued success.
The Danish outfit’s track record and commitment to nurturing young talents make it an ideal environment for Iheanacho to develop and showcase his skills.
