Former Enyimba goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has taken on a new role as the goalkeeper coach for Sudan’s Senior Men’s National Team, known as the Falcons of Jediane.
Dauda, an ex-Black Stars of Ghana shot-stopper, previously played for Enyimba from 2016 to 2019. During his time at the club, he significantly contributed to their successes, helping the 2-time African champions secure the 2019 Nigeria Premier Football League title and reach the semi-finals of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
Before his recent appointment, the 38-year-old former player for Orlando Pirates and Chippa United had gained experience in coaching. He worked with the well-known football academy, Right To Dream, and also served as a goalkeeper trainer for his country’s U-20 National Team.
Dauda, who represented Ghana at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, holds a CAF C License, along with multiple FIFA and online coaching certificates. His wealth of experience and expertise will be invaluable as he takes on his new role in Sudan, sharing his knowledge with the goalkeepers of the Falcons of Jediane.
