Former Super Eagles player Friday Ekpo has backed the influx of exciting and rave making young Super Eagles players to be given more opportunities to impress and make the cut to the fast approaching AFCON in Egypt.
In a chat with Sports247, Ekpo said the younger players should form the nucleus of the Super Eagles team moving forward as these players should be the foundation of the national team now that they are also doing well and playing games at their respective clubs.
“First and foremost we should concentrate on the ones who are coming up strongly now. The young shall grow and I believe we should give them opportunities to express themselves in games that concerns Nigeria. We should build on these ones to play for the national team.”
Nigerians are waiting anxiously on the provisional list of players that will play at the AFCON in Egypt.
