Leader of One love family and the Living perfect master in the world has warned the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation that for Nigeria to record outstanding success in international sporting competitions,there is the need to engage more local materials in the grooming of teams, sports247.ng reports.
The living perfect master,Sat Guru Maharaji stated this while featuring on Swan seat, a personality lecture organised by SWAN Oyo state chapter, at the NUJ press centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
Satguru Maharaji who spoke on the topic: predictions and their effects on sports competitions noted that outstanding former national players like Samson Siasia, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Emmanuel Amunike and Kanu Nwakwo stands a better chance at relating with the national football team than foreign handlers.
Satguru Maharaji however, stressed the need for national teams to seek blessings from traditional rulers like Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, the Sultan of Sokoto, Obi of Onitsha and most especially Satguru Maharaji before departing for international competitions.
In a remark, Chairman, Oyo NUJ, Mr. Adewumi Faniran, who said the new leadership of oyo swan led by Olaolu Fawole was in the right direction, enjoined management of sports in Nigeria to show more seriousness in sports development especially at the grassroots.
Earlier in an address, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Oyo state Chapter, Olaolu Fawole, said the Swan seat was initiated to breed ideas and solution to problems bedeviling sports in the country.
