Lagos State Female football team player, Dunyo Rosemary has expressed her passion for playing football.
The Amazing passionate footballer who currently plays as a right-back for the Lagos State Female Football team has admitted that her dream is to become a football superstar in the near future and a role model to the younger generation.
In an extensive interview with Sports247 who caught up with the passionate footballer, where she admitted her passion for the beautiful game, stating her desires of being a great football superstar someday, as well as helping to impact the younger generation. The Amazing right-back also opened up about how her football journey began, as she looks forward to helping her team win the Gold medal at the National Sports Festival in Benin, come February.
*How did you get into football?
I got into football because of my passion and love for football.
*When did you start playing football and who bought you your first boot?
I started playing football in 2015 and my Mom bought me my first boot.
*Why did your Mom buy you your best boot?
It is because My Mom always encouraged me to play football.
*What is your dream as a footballer?
My dream is to become a Football superstar and a role model for the upcoming and younger generation.
*How are you working towards achieving your dream?
I am trying my best for my team, working hard and putting in more efforts so as to actualize my dream.
*How do you cope financially with playing Academy football without pay?
My parents support me financially as well as my coach.
*How ready is team Lagos for the festival?
We are 100 percent ready for the event. Come February, we are good to go.
*How sure are you about your position in the team?
I can’t really say that I am sure of my position in the team, because anything could still happen before the event kicks off, but I believe with hard work and determination, I will be there.
*A lot of people are tipping Lagos to win the Gold medal in the Festival, are you also in that group?
Yes, I am. I believe we are going to Benin to win the gold medal, come February.
*You girls have been playing friendlies and winning all your matches, what is the magic?
It’s all about Hardwork and teamwork. We all understand ourselves in the team.
*Who would you consider as your best friend in the team?
Jennifer. This is because she encourages me a lot and advices me which has helped me a lot in developing my game.
*What is your message for the young girls out there who are also passionate about football like you do?
They should continue to do their best and be dedicated in all they do.

Dunyo Rosemary’s mother hails from Ghana, while her Dad is from Nigeria. She opted to play for Nigeria due to her Father being a Nigerian.
