President and members of Football Fans Club of Nigeria have paid a condolence visit to the Nigeria Police Female Machine Football Club of Uyo over the unfortunate incident that led to the death of two of the club’s players on Tuesday evening, Miss Aniebet Ekong and Glory Saturday in Uyo.
Kemi Ogunfuwa led supporters group in their condolence register through the Akwa Ibom state Chairman, Etim Okon said “We commisserate with the board of Nigeria Women Foootball League and particularly the management of the Nigeria Police Female Machine Football Club of Uyo over the unfortunate incident that led to the death of two of the club’s players on Tuesday evening, Miss Aniebet Ekong and Glory Saturday, in Uyo. FFCN is grieved with the football fraternity in Uyo and Nigeria as a whole and we pray that the Almighty God would put an end to this in our nation, Nigeria.
The Lagos State based football icon therefore enjoins the management of women league to consider a sizeable mobile vehicle that would convey players from one place to another before registering a club to the league cadre
Confederation of African Football Award Winning holder has also joined the Nigeria Football Federation in their present state of mourning over the death of Austin Bold FC of United State of America and Super Eagles player, Isaac Promise.
The Kaduna born attacker who was once captained the U23 National team during the summer Olympic 2008 held in China and also played in the senior National team under the tutelage of coach Samson Siasia loss his life at the age of 31
He captained National U17 team in 2003 and also the U20 National team in 2005 during his time. “It’s becoming one death too many in Nigerian Football but God knows why. We at the FFCN join the leadership of Nigeria Football Federation in the present state of morning of former Olympics medalist, Isaac Promise and the two female players of Police Machine who lost their lives during the week. We pray that the Lord Almighty God would put an end to this kind of unfortunate incident in our dear nation”. Ambassador Kemi prayed.
