Founder of Eletu Queens Football Club, Prince Kazeem Eletu has commended the organizers of the forthcoming Flying Officers Cup for including his club to compete among the best clubs in Nigeria.
The fast-rising Lagos-based amateur club, Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens have commenced early preparation for the much awaited Flying Officers Cup scheduled for Abuja starting from 10 through 24, October 2021.
Eletu Queens would face YABATECH female football team in a friendly match scheduled for this afternoon at the school premises, Lagos.
The club chairman in a statement described the tournament as an opportunity for his girls to come to the limelight. He explained that the competition would be an avenue for his girls to sell themselves to the football scouts that are coming for the tournament.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank the organizers of this Flying Officers Cup especially the Chairman Ratels Sports Development Foundation, Barrister Paul Edeh for his commitment to the competition. The tourney is good for the girls especially those who are still playing in amateur clubs. They should see this competition as an avenue to showcase their talents,” he said.
Head coach of Eletu Queens, Damilare Jaiyeola also commended the organizers of the Flying Officers Cup for working round the clock towards the success of the competition. He further said the tourney has received enough media publicity and thanked Barrister Edeh for his contribution to women’s football development in the country.
The dark-skinned coach said he is delighted that his team are among the clubs that would feature in next month competition. He however said the tourney would bring the best out of his girls boasting that they have commenced early preparation in order to have a good outing in Abuja.
