Nigeria’s youth national team, Flying Eagles assistant coach, Abubakar Bala has disclosed that the technical crew will use next month’s West African Football Union (WAFU) U-20 Cup to test new tactics and players.
Bala said in an interview with sports247.ng that the Flying Eagles’ crew already have their game plan for the regional competition in Lome, Togo next month, but says they will use it for experimenting.
He stated further that the competition will offer the technical crew an opportunity to test the team’s shape and readiness for the challenge of playing at next year’s Africa U20 Nations Cup in Niger Republic.
Bala stressed: “The U20 AFCON proper is the main target and doing well there will be put to test with our games at the WAFU tourney.”
