The Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday departs Lome, Togo for the WAFU- B U20 tournament via the Mohammed Muritala Airport in Lagos on Tuesday morning, Sports247 reports.

The Nigerian contingent consists of twenty U20 players, the technical crew headed by Coach Aliyu Zubair and Nigeria Football Federation officials leaves the shores of the county after the conclusion of the final camp phase in Ikenne ahead of the WAFU B U20 football competition.
The competition serves as qualifying series for the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations with the two finalists picking the two tickets available for teams in the region.
Flying Eagles of Nigeria are the defending champions of the tournament and have been drawn in Group B alongside Cote d’ivoire and Burkina Faso.
Nigeria will face the Burkina faso team in their opening match of the campaign on Friday, October 18 at the Municipal Stadium in Lome with the kick off set at 3pm local time.
The squad is made up proven talents both in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, the Nigeria National League, NNL, Nigeria Nationwide League One , NLO, and non league clubs as well two foreign based players.
