Ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Captain of the Nigerian U17 female team, Alvine Dah-Zossu is in high spirit as the Flamingos are hoping to do better than their U-20 counterparts in the Would Cup later this year in India.
According to the young striker, trainings have started as the coaching crew have put them under a strick training routine ahead of the Would Cup built to hold in India later in the year.
Speaking to sports247 Naija, the Osun Babes las hinted that one of thier priority is to surpass the achievement of the Falconets in the coming World Cup though thier seniors have done exceptionally well in the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
“Our training sessions have been really good because the technical crew have been doing well in giving us various training programs, as they are trying to prepare us for the world cup so we will do better in the world cup. Our seniors played very good. Thier performance was very good. I like thier energy, they played well. Then from the Flamingoes, we will try as much as possible to do better than what they did”.
Coach Bankole Olowookere tutored las surpassed Egypt, DR Congo and Ethiopia as they make thier way in qualifying for the World Cup scoring 15 goals and without conceding any. The Flamingoes were later drawn in group B along with Germany, Chile and New Zealand.
