First Mahi Babes FC, a Championship side in the Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL), introduced six promising new players as part of its preparation for the upcoming season.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, took place at the club’s camp in Abajah, Mbano L.G.A, Imo State.

he club’s chairman, Chief Prince Chidiebere Onuoha, expressed his excitement over the new recruits, emphasizing his commitment to discovering, nurturing, and showcasing the potential of young female footballers to a global audience.
The six fresh faces joining the team are:
15-year-old attacker Chiwendu Ogechi Glory from Imo State
18-year-old defender Emmanuella Alamezie Ibe from Imo State
16-year-old midfielder Ebizimo Joy James from Bayelsa State
15-year-old defender William Loveth Godwin from Akwa Ibom State
16-year-old attacker Okechukwu Chidera Perpetual from Imo State
15-year-old attacker Blessing Ogolo from Rivers State
At the ceremony, the parents and guardians of the new players signed consent contracts, allowing First Mahi Babes FC to manage their development for five years, with an option for renewal.
