He acknowledged that the team made costly mistakes during the game, which ultimately led to their defeat.
“I think just a few mistakes cost us the match. It was not a bad game.
Good intensity, we created a couple of chances, but we didn’t score.
We know in a game like this, if you don’t score and make some mistakes, you will be punished,” said Finidi.
Despite the loss, Finidi expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the team.
He particularly praised the team’s use of the formation during the game, stating, “Not bad at all. Using two strikers helped us, and it forced them to play wide.
We could press a little bit more. It was an aggressive team.”
Reflecting on the match, Finidi emphasized the importance of looking beyond just the result, focusing on aspects of the game that the team controlled.
“But I’m looking at the other aspect of the game, which I feel we controlled.
We created some chances but couldn’t score. But overall, I am happy,” he added.
