Four officials from Senegal are set in Nigeria for the match between Flamingo and their Ethiopia counterparts which is the second leg of the final qualifying match for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup billed to take place in India from 11th – 30th of October, 2022.
The referee delegation led by Mame Coumba Faye, who will take charge of proceedings, Adia Isseu Cisse (assistant referee 1), Fatou Bintou Sene (assistant referee 2) and Fatou Thioune (fourth official) will arrive in the country on Thursday.
The Flamingo will host their counterparts from Ethiopia for the reverse leg of the fixture on Saturday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Nigeria defeated Ethiopia in first leg in Addis Ababa two weeks ago by one goal to nil, with a strike by Opeyemi Ajakaiye who now has six in total in the qualifying campaign and will only need a draw to secure a ticket to the biennial football showpiece.
The Flamingos, who have played in every edition of the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup except one, are undefeated in this qualifying series and are yet to concede a goal.
