Nigeria’s international referee Hope Ogenekwe Igho, a prominent official under the Lagos Council, is primed for the new football season.
The seasoned referee, who holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Ilorin, demonstrated exceptional form during the recent pre-season fitness test and training workshop for referees.

Igho, a FIFA-listed official with extensive experience in both continental and global matches, impressed during the program, where he stood out among his peers.

With his proven track record and pre-season display, expectations are high for Igho to bring his expertise and training to both domestic and international competitions.

Igho has already made his mark by serving as Assistant Referee 1 during the opening league match between Rangers and Elkanemi Warriors in Enugu, setting the tone for what promises to be a successful season.
