Nigeria’s FIFA badged assistant referee, Mimisen Iyorhe has made the final list of referees to officiate in the FIFA U20 women world cup, Costa Rica 2022.
A total of forty officials from thirty-nine countries were selected, which fourteen of them are referees and twenty-six are assistant referees.
From the Confederation of Africa Football CAF, eight officials from seven African countries : South Africa, Togo, Cameroon, Zambia, Mali and Morocco, will take centre stage when the U20 women world cup starts.
This was made know by the world football governing body, FIFA, in the preparation for the event later this year. It can be recalled that the last edition was called off, no thanks to the outbreak of the covid-19.
Iyorhe has been very instrumental and an active assistant referee for both the African Women’s qualifiers and the CAF Women Champions League in the past. She is also regarded as one of the best referees in the NPFL. The Costa Rica 2022 U20 women world cup is slated for 10th August to 28th August, 2022.
