FIFA License agent, Olawale Onipede has commended the efforts of the League Management Company (LMC) for their tremendous works so far in the league, but still urges them to do more.
Shehu Dikko’s led LMC has been commended by many so far for the good job they have done, since the commencement of the NPFL, most especially adding digital content to the League which has helped lovers of the NPFL view their teams online from the comfort of their homes, due to the inability of not being able to watch their teams at the stadium because of the Covid 19 pandemic.
Speaking with Sports247, when being asked about his scorecard for the League Management Company, Onipede commended the efforts of the LMC, most especially in bringing content to the League. He scored them 75 percent so far, but also stated that more can still be done by them to ensure the promotion of the League and attract investors, top players, and coaches.
“A committee without a plan will commit a crime. The LMC had started well but they need to brave up more. They have appointed a new Boss, which also makes the league be digital for the fans to watch online”.
“I score them 75 percent because they are changing, just as the game is Changing to digital systems worldwide. They should try to help clubs, players, and coaches on their remuneration (payment) level because Nigeria League players are not smiling. It is only a few players playing with top clubs that are smiling”.
“They should ensure insurance policies for all players, coaches, and other team officials of each club sides, as this is very crucial and essential for all the clubs”, he admitted.
