Nigeria FIFA badge referee Ferdinand Udoh has been appointed the center referee for this weekend Nigeria Professional Football League fixture between Lobi Stars and Wikki Tourists at the Aper Aku Stadium.
This will be Ferdinand’s first match since 2018 as he has been rocked with a carrier threatening injury .
The Akwa Ibom referees council member cum Uyo based referee in preparation to 2018 CHAN failed fitness test in Cairo 2017 due to injury and the last time he officiated a match in the Nigeria Profesional Football league ( NPFL) was between Rangers and Elkanemi in April 2018.
Ferdinand expressed gratitude to God and persons who have been of help to him in getting back to what he loves doing best for the good of the country and continent.
“I want to thank God for my life and all He has done for me while I treated my injury, also there are some persons God used in ensuring I travel for my surgery and I say may God bless them richly. I am happy to be back in doing what I love doing best”
Ferdinand before now has officiated CAF matches, World cup qualifiers and is hopefull of surpassing his former records.
