Nigeria Super Eagles is at risk of missing lethal striker, Victor Osimhen after Galatasaray’s doctor, Yener Ince gives update on his state of health, Sports247 reports.
Victor Osimhen was in the thick of action for Galatasaray against fierce rival Fernabache in Super Turkish League match played on Monday.

Osimhen picked up a yellow card in the fiercely contested encounter where he played only a shot with zero assist or goal as the match ended in goalless.
He was however substituted in the 89th minute but the team doctor has confirmed that he was removed due to a injury he sustained in the match.
According to a report monitored in the Turkish media, the team doctor gave his first statement regarding the injury, ” yes he suffered an injury in his foot ” said Yener.
Doctor Yener emphasised that the extent of the foot injury will be determined on Wednesday.
Yener İnce said, “We will see, it will be clear tomorrow.”
The Nigeria forward has been instrumental to Galatasaray’s title charged having scored a 14 goals in 19 matches, providing four assists in the league since he joined the team in the summer.
Depending on the outcome of the extent of the injury, Super Eagles coach may have to start looking for plan B ahead or the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier which will resume in March with the Super Eagles scheduled to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in round 5 and 6 of the Africa leg of the qualifier.
Victor Osimhen is the living highest goal scorer of the Super Eagles as only the great Rashidi Yekini has scored more goals for the Super Eagles than Victor Osimhen.
Nigeria is currently fifth in group C, with three draws and one loss after four matches, needed to win all the remaining six matches in the group to stand a chance of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup billed to take place in USA, Mexico and Canada.
