The National President, Football Fans Club of Nigeria, Nigeria, FFCN, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa has said that the entire members of her group was in deep shock over the sudden death of the Chairman, House Committee on Sports, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams.

The graduate of University of Lagos who could not believe at first glance noted that the former Kada City General Manager and Remo Stars top brass was a great icon who used his stint in office to turn the tide of things for Nigeria.
The erstwhile player who passed on to glory on Tuesday, 16th July, 2024 after a brief illness has been described as a selfless and dogged fighter .
The CAF Award Matriarch condoled with the entire members of the House of Representatives, the Sports Ministry, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and the Sports Communities.
A statement by the group National Media Officer, Sunday Agunbiade(Mr VAR) signed by the President of the leading Supporters Club in Africa also sympathized with the Chief Executive Officer of Remo Stars , Chief Kunle Soname under whom he rose to the green Chamber and the entire football fraternity.
“I woke up this morning to read unfortunate and sudden demise of a very hard working elder and leader, Honourable Adams Ekene Abubakar on Sports World Platform and I could not believe the news at first glance. In my mind, I was praying to see someone to write a rejoinder and denying the death report considering how impactful and hardworking the former General Manager of Remo Stars was to the football fraternity. I later felt bad when I read it severally on some platforms that Honourable Ekene was no more and I could not but accept the decision of our maker as He giveth and taketh.”
“Honourable Adams Ekene, no doubt has left an indelible mark in the hearts of many Nigerians, particularly the sports communities and I believe his soul is resting with the Almighty God. ”
I pray for the entire members of the house of Representatives, Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Nigeria Football Federation, his family and of course the Chairman, Remo Stars, Chief Kunle Soname to have a fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. ”
