The National Headquarters of the Nigeria Federation of Youth soccer clubs( FEYSOC) an affiliate of the Nigeria football federation ( NFF) has commended the Executive Chairman of Owan West Local Government Area of Edo state Hon Frank ilaboya for his commitment towards youth Empowerment in his locality and Edo state.
The National secretary of one of the oldest Grassroots Soccer bodies in Nigeria (Feysoc)Hon A S Luya gave the commendation during a recent national meeting of Some Feysoc officials held in Abuja.
Hon Luya, who was full of praise for Frank ilaboya, a Life Patron of the body in Edo state, said the former Edo F A chairman has excel in journalism, Sports and administration ( Politics) adding that ilaboya who also led Lagos state swan in the past, will be remembered for bringing the vibes back to Edo state Football when he was in charge of the state FA.
” I want to use this gathering to commend one of our patron in Edo state chapter of FEYSOC, Hon Frank ilaboya for his commitment towards youth development and empowerment, he has shown great commitment to our body with the annual sponsorship of Pa Michael imoudu memorial tourney in Sabongida Ora, we are indeed grateful to him. he did so much for the game in Edo state as the FA chairman and now also contributing to grassroots football as a local Government boss.
“Am not surprise he recently got an award from a government agency in Edo state for his drive for youth Empowerment, job creation, and many others, and a few days ago got another award from sky sports Nigeria media for his immense contributions to sports development in Edo state, Luya stated.
Luya tasked ilaboya not to relent in his effort to produce future champions in Owan west, adding that Nigerians are not only watching him, but the youth will never forget his support.
Hon Luya used the opportunity to inform all the state coordinators of the body of the 2021 activities of the Feysoc and charged them to be hardworking in the discharge of their duties adding that, they take feysoc to all part of their respective states in search of hidden talents.
The 12th Edition of Pa Michael imoudu memorial football tournament comes up in December 2020 at Sabongida Ora the administrative headquarters of Owan West Local government Area of Edo state.
Efe-Urhocity Football Academy of Uhunmwoede Local Area and Fortress Ladies Of Benin city were crown champions in the male and female category in the 2019 Edition of the tournament in honour and memory of the first labour leader in Nigeria.
