Ikere Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ayodele Femi has expressed his readiness and that of the council to support football development in lkere community.
The council boss made this known during a courtesy visit by the lkere Local Football Council (ILFC) to his office in lkere Ekiti.
Hon. Ayodele who said there was a need to take a large number of youths off the street opined that sports, especially football could be a veritable tool of giving the youths a brighter future.
He promised to support the council by supporting her programmes most importantly the Unity Cup which would be staged before the end of the year.
Earlier, the LFC Ag. chairman, Mr. Adeolu Oyebode had highlighted the activities of the football council noting that several football competitions were in the pipeline to ensure that youths are meaningfully engaged.
