The Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) is handling a four-day national coaching course on indoor volleyball for 50 Nigerian coaches at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
The course is organised by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) in conjunction with the Nigeria Volleyball Coaches Association.
Mekano Adamu, Secretary General of the Federation told Nigeria News Agency on Wednesday that the purpose of the training was to develop the sport at the grassroots.
“This course is to train our coaches to know the basic and the latest techniques of volleyball.
“We are really impressed with the turnout of our coaches which shows their commitment to the development of the game in Nigeria.
“The coaches, thereafter, will impart the knowledge obtained from the course to the players in their various zones,” he said.
