In response, Sports Minister Senator John Owan Enoh, expressed confidence in Yanga Games’ capacity to deliver on their mandate, emphasizing a departure from sole reliance on government funding for sports development.
“We are moving away from the era of solely government-funded sports development,” stated Senator Enoh. “By partnering with Yanga Games, we aim to maximize benefits for athletes and critical stakeholders. We pledge institutional support to ensure the success of Yanga Games in revitalizing our sports sub-sector.”
The partnership between the Federal Ministry of Sports and Yanga Games heralds a new era of collaboration and innovation in Nigerian sports, with a focus on sustainable revenue generation and comprehensive support for athletes’ well-being and development.
