Mr Felix Musa Bwari on Monday was voted as new Bwari Area Football Council.
The election process started by dissolution of former Board headed by Dr John Gabaya who doubles as Bwari Area Council Chairman.
After the swearing in, an elated Musa Bwari heaped praises on Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Football Association, Alhaji Adams Mohammed Mouktar for orgainsing free and fair election for the first time in the Area Council, the process that paved way for him to become the chairman of the Area Football Council.
Speaking during his acceptance speech, Bwari said his Board’s first task is the completion of 2,000 capacity Bwari Mini Stadium. He revealed that Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) collaborates with Bwari Area Council to refurbish the stadium.
“No word can express the level of my happiness today. I appreciate all my Board members particularly the FCT FA Chairman, Alhaji Adams Mouktar Mohammed for making it possible to have an election in the Area Council for the first time. The election process was responsible for emergence as the chairman.
“As we enter into office, the first point of call will be the refurbishment of the Bwari Mini-stadium. Recently, JAMB collaborated with the Council to refurbish the stadium. The collaboration will put everything in place and very soon work will commence in the stadium.
In the second and third elections conducted by the Chairman and Secretary, FCT FA Electoral Committee, Mr Fizobe Samson and Emmanuel David emerged Vice-chairman and Member of the Bwari Area Football Council.
