FC Robo Queens maintained their position as the queen of women’s football in Lagos as they defeated NWFL Championship side Dannaz Ladies 4-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly known as Onikan stadium, Lagos.
Nigeria U17 women side, the flamingoes striker, Opeyemi Ajakaiye grabbed a brace in the game, Rukayat Oladiti and Super Falcons forward Gift Monday scored a go each.
Opeyemi Ajakaiye scored the opening goal of the game for FC Robo Queens in the 6th minute as she lashed on to a loose ball in the 18 meters box of Dannaz Ladies.
FC Robo Queens had some chances to increase the goals tally in the first half but they couldn’t double their lead in the first half.
Opeyemi Ajakaiye doubled FC Robo Queens’ lead in the 49th minute as she sent a bullet header into the back of the net to grab her brace in the game from a fantastic cross from Gift Monday.
Holding midfielder, Rukayat Oladiti made it 3 goals in favor of the Lagos Landladies with 25 meters bullet strike to send her teammates into wild jubilation.
Gift Monday added the icing on the cake as she grabbed the 4th goal of the match through a freekick.
Taiwo Lawal was denied from close range by Dannaz Ladies goalkeeper as the Lagos Landladies sealed their 12th Lagos FA Cup title at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
