FC Digital Foot, a football club based in Karshi, Abuja, have emerged champions of the 3rd edition of the AMAC(Abuja Municipal Area Council) Football Coaches Council Unity Cup competition.
The club defeated A.M.U. Football Academy 4-3 on penalty shootout in the final after regulation time ended in a stalemate draw at the Area 3 playground on Friday, 18th June 2021.
Results preceding the final saw FC Digital Foot walloping Fufure Guaranteed Football Academy by 4-0; thrashed Zango Football Academy 7-0; pipped Pride FC 1-0, but lost 0-1 to IB Sporting Dreams, to place 2nd in the group stage.
The fast-rising Team went on to win 6-5 in a penalty shootout against Galadima FC after the normal play ended 1-1 apiece.
In the semi-finals game, FC Digital Foot still required a penalty shootout to advance to the final as they defeated Rhapsody FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout after both sides played out a nil-nil draw.
It’s the first time FC Digital Foot have won the AMAC Football Coaches Council Unity Cup, scoring a total of thirteen goals while conceding only two.
