Ahead of the eagerly awaited 2020/2021 Surulere Regional League, one of the top teams expected to participate in the championship, FC Bethel International has expressed its readiness for the new soccer season.
In a chat with journalists, Coach Nat Olagunju was confident that his boys would improve upon their performances at the last year’s edition of SRL, where it failed to claim the diadem during the Super 8 playoffs after topping the table from matchday 14 of the regular season.
Olagunju who doubles as founder and sporting director of the highly-rated Lagos-based amateur side, further disclosed that his boys also have been involved in series of pre-season matches and with impressive results.
” As parts of plans to perform better and achieve our dreams for the new season, we have been playing series of tough games against top local teams and with impressive results, too,” Olagunju, a German-trained and UEFA B licensed coach stated.
Team Manager of FC Bethel, Seyi Jones on his part also enthused confidently about the chances of his team to take the new football season by the storm.
” We’re ready and rearing to go on and claim the SRL title, as well as, other available championships this new season,” the reputed football administrator remarked.
According to him, the team has beefed up its arsenal by recruiting 3 new young and talented footballers from Kaduna and 2 others from Gboko, Benue state respectively.
