Favour Kalu, Teammates Expresses Delight Towards Restarting The NWFL After Covid 19 Break

DreamStar Ladies player, Favour Kalu, together with the rest of her teammates has expressed their happiness towards the restart of the NWFL on February 10th, after it went on break due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Chairperson of the NWFL, Aisha Falode made the huge announcement of the NWFL restarting on February 10th, after all, 14 club sides participating in the League all complied with the Corona Virus Preventive Measures that were created before the start of the League season on December 9th, 2020.

Speaking with Sports 47 after the huge announcement, Favour Kalu with the rest of her teammates expressed their happiness towards the resumption of the League after the Covid 19 break, stating that they have been waiting for the news to break through, for them to continue doing what they love doing best.

“I feel glad and ready to take on any club that comes my way or my team’s way because we been waiting for that day to come”.

“Yeah, everyone here has heard the news and the feeling here is mutual”, she admitted.

The NWFL Match week 5 fixture will have Confluence Queens against FC Robo at the Lokoja Stadium, Delta Queens battling Bayelsa Queens at the Agbor Stadium, while Edo Queens host Nasarawa Amazons at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

In other matches, Abia Angels battle Sunshine Queens, in Umuahia, Ibom Angels tangle Rivers Angels in Uyo, Osun Babes take on Dream Stars of Lagos at the Osogbo Township Stadium, while Pelican Stars slug it out with Royal Queens at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
