Fatodu Commmends Sanwo-Olu For AFCON Viewing Centers ……Says Access Bank Lagos City Marathon Enhances Lagos’ Tourism Potentials

Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu has commended the Lagos State Government for the establishment of additional viewing cenrer at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena, Onikan, making it 26 Viewing Centres across the State.

Fatodu applauded the efforts of Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, during an interview at the Rowe Sports Center, Yaba, describes the initiative as a noble idea to promote sports and community cohesion among the citizens.

The Director General said Lagos State is a magnet to great initiatives across many advanced and developed societies. He added that sports played a critical role in society, and the AFCON Viewing Centers is not just for entertainment but a stimulant for sports enthusiasts.

The Lagos State Government has deemed it fit to ensure no one is left behind in the exposure, providing better understanding and inspiration in the general sporting system, especially football, he said.

On the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, Fatodu said the race, which has a unique global label of excellence, helped the event to be ranked among the big marathons across the world.

“Lagos State is ready for business, a connecting point for entrepreneurs and enterprise, an attraction for sporting activities, entertainment, manufacturing and information technology and they have a feel of this through Marathon under Lagos State Sports Commission”, Fatodu emphasized.

He added that “Through hospitality the foreigners will be our spokesperson to sell the State and tell others that Lagos is a place to be and it is filled with so many opportunities”.

He described Onikan viewing Center as a mega platform which has built an avenue to interaction, commercial, and fusion of entertainment and sports; which has given good feedback to the Lagos State Government.
