WEEK 8 DAY 1&2: ROAD TO THE FINALS CORNELL Thompson VS DANIEL Emeka
THE BOUT
Emeka slayed Damilare in the quarter-finals and Thompson eliminated Okechi elder shop, exchange of blows in the air with tight clinch as Cornell misses a takedown. Daniel pressing cautiously and Cornell responding as the marine boxer shows confidence.

WEEK 8, DAY 3
Up next is the fight between two knitted friends, Segun and Ndidi on Day 3 of Week 8 as both fighters put aside friendship for the battle in the ring as the edges of the final closing. Who will win?
The first round of the second semi-finals begin as both exchange kicks, the battle of friends turned into a battle of foes, Ndidi leading the time with confidence. Segun catches Ndidi kicks as both exchanges blow. Ndidi rattles Segun with a leg-kick as he scores a takedown with Segun defending on the ground for the time being.
Round ended in Ndidi in a dominant position, the second round with MMA looks bright for Ndidi as he takes Segun down, blowing through his sides, surely not looking good for team steel captain. The referee interferes to allow Segun to get back to his feet, that’s it for the second round but Segun needs to come out blazing if he wants to save himself in this tournament.
The third and final round is here, both look cautious, Segun throws a kick but Ndidi gets his legs and scores a takedown as Segun isn’t letting go with a full mount from the opponent dangerous as it seems as Ndidi patiently takes his time. Segun won’t allow a ground pound and grind as he keeps defending with his leg, the bell comes to Segun rescue. Judge number 1 scored the fierce bout, 30-26, 30-27, 30-27 as Ndidi Alonu won with a unanimous decision.
With the semi-final round final over, Daniel Emeka Of Imo State has advanced to the finals after a high-pressure bout with Cornell Thompson. On the other leg, Delta State Ndidi Alonu defeated Ogun State Segun Ogunnoiki in a three-round slum also sending him into the finals. Cornell and Segun will still battle it out for the third place as the ever desired finals are set to go down between Ndidi and Alonu on the next AKO Show.
