Nigeria’s heroine at the recently concluded 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Tochukwu Oluehi has stated that she is confident of having a fruitful world Cup in France when the Super Falcons file out to play France South Korea and Norway in Group A.
The Falcons goalkeeper has stated that Nigerians can be rest assured of looking forward to having a Super Falcons team that will represent the nation better ahead of next year’s world cup in France after the coach sent a sketch plan of what preparation would look like for the FIFA women’s world cup in France.
President of the Nigeria football federation Amaju Pinnick while in Ghana on a visit to the camp of the girls had promised that the proposal that will be submitted by the team’s coach Thomas Dennerby will be approved in time for the ladies to have a training period the girls will be proud of and the Super Eagles will be jealous of.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to play a friendly in China and also feature at the Cyprus cup for women all of which the shot stopper stressed would help prepare the team better compares to having the players just come for a rush camping before going for a tournament. “The friendlies that have been lined up for us ahead of the tournament are good. It will definitely keep us in shape and sharp enough to battle the best in the world when it’s time for the world Cup proper.”
