FA Cup Final: Success targets Man City scalp

Nigerian forward Isaac Success is hoping to win his first major trophy at club level as Watford face Manchester City in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Saturday.

The 23-year-old has scored once in two FA Cup appearances this season for Watford – who are also aiming to win the trophy for the first time.

“We are not the favourites but Manchester City are; we believe in what we can do,” the Nigerian international said.

Success will join the crop of Nigeria players to have won the oldest cup competition in the world if Watford are able to deny Manchester City a domestic treble.

Celestine Babayaro, Nwankwo Kanu, John Utaka, Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi have all won the FA Cup in the past.

Success who was left out of Nigeria’s 25-man provisional squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament billed for Egypt has scored four goals in 34 appearances for the Hornets this season.
