F.A Victory emerged as the champions of the 13th edition of the Bolowotan Gold Cup after recording a slim penalty win over N-TAB FC in the final on Sunday at the Strong Tower Academy Sports Field, Ikorodu.
The keenly contested and entertaining final ended 2-2 for both teams after 90 minutes of exchange. F.A Victory clinched the trophy following a 4-3 penalty triumph.
Adebax FC defeated Greater Height 2-0 in the third place match as they emerged as the Bronze winner of the tournament.
At the end of the foremost grassroots football event in Ikorodu, the three teams — F.A Victory, N-Tab and Adebax FC were presented with cash prizes respectively, by the organizers of the Bolowotan Cup, which is one of the pet project of the Lagos State Director General of Sports, Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar.
Nigeria Football Federation 1st Vice President Barr, Seyi Akinwunmi who was part of the dignitaries at the grand finale of the event presented, Seun Adepoju of F.A Victory a cash prize for emerging as the top scorer of the competition with five goals.
The annual Bolowotan Gold Cup is powered by the Director General of Sports, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar.
