Coach of Heartland FC, Fidelis Ilechukwu, confirmed to Sports247 that first-choice goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa will return to the starting lineup in the team’s next Nigeria Professional Football League game against Abia Warriors.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper picked up an injury in the draw against FC Ifeanyi Ubah and has since been on the sidelines but will return to action this weekend confirms the coach.
“Ezenwa is back. He’s likely going to be in the post against Abia Warriors on Sunday, but we want to make sure he’s fit which I think he’s going to be a hundred percent before that game. We’re happy to have him because we know his quality and we know what he can do. We’re also happy that a few of our other injured players will be fit for that game because it’s a very important game,” Fidelis said.
