The NFF Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee (PSAC) has issued a series of binding rulings, ordering several Nigerian football clubs to pay compensation to players, coaches, clubs and intermediaries for various contractual breaches, Sports247 reports.
The decisions were made following hearings held in Abuja between February 26 and March 1, 2025.

Meanwhile, the case of Kwara United vs Adekunle Ayobami Samuel was dismissed due to lack of documentary evidence.
Other decisions affecting additional clubs have been communicated directly by the NFF to the parties.
Most clubs were given a deadline of between 10 to 45 days to comply with the rulings.
Many stakeholders who have made an appearance before the NFF PSAC have commended the committee for its firm and fair decisions, and the NFF executive board, led by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, for providing the enabling environment, aggrieved parties now have a medium to get justice fairly.
Observers have also urged sanctions against non-compliant clubs to be implemented immediately if the deadline is not adhered to citing instances when teams like Abia Warriors and Heartland FC, failed to honor earlier decisions without any consequence.
The practical enforcement of these decisions is as important as all the processes leading to the hearing and issuing of these decisions and defaulters should be adequately dealt with.
Adequate sanctions should be dished out to any party who failed to meet the payment deadline, including ban on using newly registered players and point deductions as the case may be.
