Nigeria Football Football, NFF is considering a former Nigerian international, Nduka Ugbade for the vacant Flying Eagles job, Sports247 can exclusively report.
We gathered that the former Golden Eaglets captain and coach is one among the coaches who have submitted his CV and applied for the job vacated, recently by Coach Ladan Bosso.
In a chat with our correspondent, an NFF insider who prefers to be anonymous hinted that Uduka Ugbade is the favourite to take over as the next coach of the team, barring last minute changes.
” I don’t like to go into details of things like this, but I can tell you lots of coaches have submitted their CV by applying for the job which include Ugbade ” said the source, when asked about the process of employing a new coach for the Flying Eagles.
He spoke further on the criteria for selection and who among the coaches is getting the attention of the committee.
” The committee are working to ensure they pick the best for the job. Nduka Ugbade is a favourite due to his experience at coaching underage footballers and in the national team but lets wait for the eventual outcome of the process ” he noted.
Coach Nduka Ugbade captained the Golden Eaglets and Kodak U16 FIFA World in China 85.
He served as a member of the backroom staff of all conquering Golden Eaglets squad to the 2013 U17 FIFA World Cuo in the UAE.
