Team Manager, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe, Adeniyi Adekunle has revealed reasons why the team is making wave in Nigerian Football space.
Popularly known as Neyo Scott, the young and vibrant football administrator noted that he swung into action immediately he arrived the team to change the narratives
Adekunle clarified that the first thing he along with other Management staff did was to overhaul the team. They also saw the need to bring some young and brilliant players to replace the ageing legs.
He however attributed the paradigm transformation made so far to the unity and love exhibited by the Chairman down to the management, players and backroom staff
He added that the visual visibility the team is currently enjoying in media space is more than the previous and the name of the club is now in the lips of every critical stakeholder both home and broad
According to Neyo Scott;
“It has really been great working here. To be honest, I came here with an intention to put my name on the map to do new things with this club. I believe at this point, we have been able to achieve so much considering the state I met this team when I came looking at how far we have come, I feel like we have been able to achieve more. And there is so much more to do and that is even an exciting part. We could always improve on the previous
On the development of the team, Adekunle said he used the first month to test the water and his observation helped him identified the challenges faced by each department and solved them accordingly.
“I used the first month to test the water and observed what was going on and I was able to identify the challenges and brought them to the chairman. Thank God, we have been able to solve a lot of things. We had to do a complete overhaul of the team. It has brought so much comfort, confidence and even tactically, the player are much better.”
“We have brought a lot of young and exciting players into the club and everybody saw our performance in the league. So, the difference is clear and this can be attributed to the immense support we get from the chairman and it’s our greatest strengths as a team.
“I can only attribute the success of this club to love. It resonates among players, medical team, coaching crew and media department . Football is all about love and unity. When there is love among players, they play for each other. I so much love this club”.
Asking the soft spoken manager on where he sees himself in the next 5 years, he said: “I see myself as the team manager of an NPFL team. Best Talent FC is currently in the third tier of Nigerian league but by then with the quality of professional players in the club ,we would have gotten nothing less than NPFL slots and prosecute the league”. He anticipated.
