Nigerian football fans have taken to social media to express mixed reactions following Chioma Olise’s transfer from Edo Queens to Turkish Women’s Super Lig side, Trabzonspor.
While many celebrate the Super Falcons midfielder’s move as a major step in her career, others express concern over the future of Edo Queens without one of their key players.
“Olise deserves this move! She was outstanding last season, and now she gets to showcase her talent in Europe,” one fan wrote.
However, some Edo Queens supporters worry about how the team will cope after losing their midfield dynamo. “This is great for Olise, but Edo Queens will miss her leadership on the pitch,” another fan commented.
With an 18-month contract in place, all eyes will now be on Olise as she embarks on her new journey in Turkey, wearing the number 16 jersey.
