Reflecting on his achievement, Okeoghene said, “It is not easy, but you need to keep giving it your best whenever the opportunity comes. I know we set our eyes on winning something this year. We started well, but like our coach always tells us, excellence is a journey, not a destination. We give it our best shot.”
Okeoghene’s dedication and consistent performances have been crucial for BroadCity FC, contributing significantly to their strong campaign. Despite the honor, he remains focused on continuous improvement. “With this award, I know that I need to keep improving on what I do because emerging the best goalkeeper in one of the best leagues in the country means there’s a lot of pressure on me. I will not be carried away with this, but rather it will spur me on,” he added.
Looking to the future, Okeoghene has set his sights on representing Nigeria on the international stage. “Until that time, I see myself representing my country. I’m doing well outside the shore of this country at the very top level,” he concluded.
Okeoghene’s Golden Glove win not only highlights his individual talent but also underscores the collective effort and resilience of BroadCity FC throughout the season.
