Speaking about the absence of Ndidi, Obodo acknowledges the midfielder’s crucial role as an “important engine room” in the team.
He expresses his concern about the potential challenge of finding a suitable replacement for Ndidi, given his unique qualities and understanding of the midfield role.
Obodo states, “Not having him in the team right now, and I think it’s going to be a big loss for our team. I pray we have somebody who can do a little bit better than him.”
He emphasizes the difficulty in finding a player with Ndidi’s level of expertise, describing him as one of the clever players in Africa and Europe who understands the midfield role exceptionally well.
While hoping for a suitable replacement, Obodo acknowledges the challenges in finding someone to fill Ndidi’s shoes.
He concludes, “But it will be very difficult, but we’re missing a lot in the national team.”
As the Super Eagles prepare for the AFCON, the absence of key players like Ndidi adds an extra layer of challenge for the team and its management.
Fans and football analysts will closely monitor how the team adapts to these challenges and whether emerging talents can step up to fill the void left by experienced players like Wilfred Ndidi.
