Randers FC forward Stephen Odey has been voted as the Danish Superliga Player of the Month for October.
The Nigerian international netted three times in four league appearances over the course of the month, taking his tally to five league goals in eight matches since joining on loan from KRC Genk.
“It feels great. I wouldn’t have achieved this without my teammates and the coaching staff. I just want to say a very big thank to every one of them for supporting me. And for the fans for voting for me. I really appreciate the love and the support from them,” Odey said on receiving the award.
“My time with Randers has been amazing as you can see. Playing on the pitch, playing with the team, it’s really amazing that’s why I want to give everything I’ve got when I’m on the pitch.”
The 23-year old former MFM FC star is enjoying a new lease of life in Denmark with Randers after falling out of favor at Genk. He has already scored 10 goals in all competitions this season.
