Cisse was in the squad of Henry Nwosu FC that won the historic final at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, after which he prayed for something similar to happen in his country.

Speaking with Sports 247, the Francophone footballer, who spoke smattering English, further disclosed that he was excited to be part of Sunday’s epochal event and that his side won the cup after defeating Friday Ekpo FC on penalties.
The competition, which was organised by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) in honour of former national team players, ended with Cisse’s side lifting the trophy after their goalkeeper twinkled brilliantly during the resultant penalties shootout.
It had earlier been dubbed a clash of two former Super Eagles’ number 10 players, as Ekpo and Nwosu both donned the iconic figure during their respective playing days, and the game lived up to the billing.
After helping his team carry the day, Cisse, who also plays for 36 Lion FC of Lagos, further enthused that it was a thrilling outing and prayed that his country would one day be able to stage something similar.
“The competition was exciting and very great. I pray that something like this can be done in Guinea, Insha Allah. Nigeria is great,” Cisse stated.
Several personalities, officials, administrators, players, coaches, journalists and fans who gathered for the match also heaped praises on LSFA chairman, Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed for initiating the competition
