Iloenyosi Drums Support For Super Eagles Ahead Guinea Bissau AFCON Clash

Former Nigeria International and ex-U23 Olympic Eagles defender, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has sued for Nigerian’s total support for the senior national team, Super Eagles, ahead of this weekend’s AFCON qualification clash against the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau.

‘D’General, as Iloenyosi is affectionately called, was at the Super Eagles training ground Thursday evening at the Moshod Abiola Stadium, Abuja, to lend moral support to the senior men’s National Team as they put finishing touches to their preparation for the AFCON qualification showdown against Guinea Bissau.

The former Iwuanyanwu Nationale defender was optimistic about the chances of the Eagles in the two-leg qualifier.

He expressed faith in the handlers of the team and called on Nigerians to support the vision of the Nigerian Football Federation.

“I am here as a fan of Nigerian Football, keying in the vision of the NFF led by its President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau”, Iloenyosi began in his charismatic tone.

“I just spoke with the players, especially the younger ones, on the importance of playing for the National team.

“Qualifying for the AFCON is the top priority of the Gusau-led NFF board. I am optimistic that over two legs, the Eagles will fly very high beginning with today’s (Friday, March 24) game.

“I hereby call on my fellow fans of the Super Eagles to have faith in the technical crew and give them massive support in Friday’s game”.
