The Super Eagles of Nigeria lost in its second international friendly of Jose Peseiro reign as Ecuador ran out 1-0 winners over the Super Eagles.
Nigeria conceded and early goal but had shouts for two penalty situations in the first half which led to the crowding of the referee at half time by players and the coach.
“I don’t want to talk speak about referee but then at least one penalty. Clear penalty as the keeper touched the foot of the striker. If the referee gives the penalty and the striker or midfielder scores it, then this game ends 1-1 but it’s ok as everyone makes mistakes,” the coach said.
The coach also gave his verdict on the performance which he believed overall was better than the previous game against Mexico.
“Today, we played much better than against Mexico,” he said.
“We didn’t play good in the first 15 minutes. We have players who can move the ball and command the game. After 15 minutes, we improved and the second half was even much better,” Peseiro said.
