Akwa United player Ndifreke Effiong, has become the first player in the NPFL to score a total of 10 goals in a bid to win this season’s Eunisell Boot Award.
Ndifreke Effiong who is a strong utility player in versatile in playing defense, midfield and even attack. The Akwa ibom born player scored his 10th goal of the 2019/2020 season in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), last sunday, when Akwa United hosted Warri Wolves at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (Nest of Champions) in Uyo.
Nevertheless, Effiong’s 10th goal which was the team’s only goal in its last game last Sunday helped the team play a draw saving the team from defeat.
Two of Effiong’s goal this season have been from penalty and the others from open play. He is currently competing with Victor Mbaoma who is currently a goal away from Effiong.
