Stoke City of England midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo and Akwa United of Uyo defender, Ndifreke Effiong both proved that they have overcome recent knocks, as they went full blast in their first training session with the Super Eagles in Asaba.
Sports247.ng can report that while Etebo was back in action with Stoke after missing two straight matches on account of a muscle strain he got after scoring against Nottingham Forest, and Effiong also bowed out last weekend after netting one versus Heartland of Owerri.
However, both players stepped up their efforts to get shirts for Friday’s Afirca Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, as they were involved fully in the Eagles’ opening workout at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Etebo and Effiong, who was called up late to replace injured Torino of Italy full-back, Ola Aina, both went through the session unscathed after recovering from various levels of similar muscular injuries.
