Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi continued his brilliant form since the start of the 2022 English Premier League with the midfielder grabbing two assists in Everton’s 3-0 big home win against wingless Crystal Palace.
Iwobi played a wonderful line-breaking pass to Calvert-Lewin after breaking through in the 11th minute as the England striker calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner to give Everton an early lead.
His second of the game came when he provided substitute Dwight McNeil with a nice pass inside the box allowing him to finish with a low shot into the middle of the goal in the 84th minute to seal the victory after Anthony Gordon had doubled the lead in the 64th minute.
With this big win, Everton are now placed 11th on the log with 13 points level with Crystal Palace but with 12 games played, one above Patrick Viera’s side.
Only three players have provided 5 plus assists in the Premier League this season as the former Arsenal man joins the likes of 9 – Kevin De Bruyne, 5 – Bernardo Silva, 5 – Alex Iwobi.
