It was a funfair atmosphere at Bwari police station football field yesterday where Bwari football coaches council unity football 2022 competition came to a close as third place and final matches were decided.
The third place match between Abegyi FC and Golden boys FC of Ushafa ended in three goals to one in favour of Golden boys FC who have shown their prowess with beautiful passes and prolificness in front of goal from the group stage of the competition but that doesn’t take away the fact that Abegyi FC are also a good side which can be attested to with their progression which make them to emerge as top four club.
The final match between Peyi Lion and Dyto FC was decided by lottery of penalties as the match ended in a goal apiece after the regulation time. The match was up to it’s bidding because the two sides paraded good players but at the end of the shootouts, Peyi Lions emerged winner by four goals to two.
Chairman Bwari football coaches council leader,coach Tanko Paul, thanks the organizers for the success of the competition and promised on behalf of the association that all the good players spotted during the competition will be nurture to stardom as that is one of the aims of the competition.
Also present at the final are Bwari Football Association chairman Mr Felix Musa, Bwari Divisional Police Officer(DPO)….who admonished youths to shun drug abuses,hooliganism and any other social vices that can truncate their ambition of becoming great in life.
The competition is an annual event and BFCC have promised to improve the competition come next edition.
Giant trophy and medals were presented to the winners, first runner up and second runner up including the dignitaries that present at the occasion.
